Here are the Power Rankings for Week 10
No wonder LAK's uniform is black. I'm sure it's made of latex too... and instead of a hockey stick, they use a riding crop. MTL, OTT and CGY, all spanked like a gimp in a BDSM club. So naturally, LAK has earned the top spot this week.
PIT isn't far behind though. They've made a strong surge in the East and pushed OTT out of the 2nd place spot. That should make an interesting round 1 in the playoffs...
As for OTT, MTL & CGY - if they don't turn things around this week, they could find themselves behind WSH, DET or even TBL. WSH, TBL and DET have had excellent showings of late, and it's about time they took their places in the top tier.
WPG, aparently upset that teams were sleeping on them, roared back with a vegence. Putting up very WPG-like numbers in GA.
NYR and EDM took steps forward, before crashing back to familiar spots. EDM had a rough back half this week though. WPG, OTT & DET are not easy opponents. That said, If EDM wants to be for-real, they'll need to beat teams currently holding playoff spots, even if they are in the East. As for NYR, they have to beat CHI and VAN by more than 1 or 2 goals, for the top teams to take them seriously enough not to start their backup against NYR.
CHI has hit 25 losses in a row. That's kind of an accomplishment. Is there a tank awards? If so... CHI is clearly earning it.
VAN, COL, PHI, MIN - when's the fire sale? Now's the time to sell, sell, sell.
